Hydrogen Cars

Hydrogen Cars

The youtube video on this page is from Joe Schmoe who is not selling anybody anything. He is working the bugs out of the hydrogen generator he built and even before he worked the bugs out, he got 48 mpg. (He needs a bubbler like the one pictured below.)

Hydrogen technology has been around for many years, But only recently has serious study begun for powering automobiles. There are several hydrogen cars being tested currently with "concept type" vehicles like the BMW H2R racing vehicle, the GM Hy-wire, and the Honda FCX Clarity being the main ones. But Are Hydrogen cars all the same? Nope.. They could all be called "Hydrogen powered cars" but there still some main differences that differentiate hydrogen vehicles. The Two main types of hydrogen vehicles are: "Hydrogen Cars" and "Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars"

A Hydrogen Car like the BMW H2R runs on liquid hydrogen fuel. This type of hydrogen vehicle carries tanks of liquid hydrogen and uses it for fuel in an internal combustion engine. Uh.. excuse me..I am no rocket scientist, but hauling around tanks of hydrogen seems like a bad idea. Remember the Ford Pinto? And how if you got rear ended, you might just become an astronaut?

A "Hydrogen Fuel Cell" Car like the Honda FCX Clarity uses a hydrogen fuel cell which converts hydrogen gas directly into electricity that then powers an electric motor or several motors. This technology also requires a ready supply of hydrogen. I'll be honest, I have not seen very many hydrogen refueling stations going up in my neighborhood.

A Practical Hydrogen Car

There is also a Third type of Hydrogen powered car that is gaining a lot of press these days. Some people call it a "Hydrogen Gas Saver" but it is also known by many other names like "hydrogen hybrid" or "Hydrogen conversion car" but no matter what you call it, it is any ordinary gas powered vehicle that uses a small hydrogen generator to supplement the fuel and increase gas mileage. Users of the hydrogen generators claim increased gas mileage to the tune of 50% better gas mileage. Here's how it works: A Cars alternator already produces electricity in just to keep the battery charged. It actually produces more than enough electricity for that. That is why you can add things like a stereo amplifier to a car without a problem. So when you take a little of that extra electricity and send that electric current through the hydrogen generator that is filled with water and baking soda or sodium hydroxide, hydrogen and oxygen are produced (also called HHO gas) which is a very combustible gas that can greatly improve the efficiency of any gas engine. It's not just a matter of creating more fuel to burn. Hydrogen is what is known by chemists as an energy carrier. That means it can be used to produce mechanical work or heat or to operate chemical or physical processes.

In working man's terms that means it has a 1+1=3 type effect when it is introduced in a car engine. It gets more energy out of your engine.

So here is the bottom line.. Its your choice....you can:

* Spend a small fortune for a BMW hydrogen powered car and sit on several tanks of liquid hydrogen and be a potential space shuttle astronaut.

* Get a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that might be environmentally friendly but have you seen any hydrogen refilling stations lately?

* Get a HHO Hydrogen Conversion Kit ...either just order the instructions for building your own DIY HHO conversion kit. or Order a ready made unit that has been tested and proven to work.

But If you decide to only order the instructions, why not order from a company who actually builds ready to install hydrogen conversion kits. Dont you think they might know a thing or two about how to build them?

Check this out and see if this makes sense to you. I have ordered mine and will be posting my results soon,,,Stay tuned.....
